Ladies and gentlemen, distinguished guests and esteemed participants,
Welcome to this extraordinary meeting!
It is a great pleasure and honor to announce the 3rd Congress of APITA (Asian Pancreas and Islet Transplant Association) as the Joint Meeting with the 2003 Annual Meeting of TST (Transplantation Society of Taiwan) to be held on December 10th, 2023 at Taipei City.
The APITA was established by Professor Duck J. Han in August 2018, with the aim to promote pancreas transplantation in the Asian region, advancement of islet transplantation, efficient sharing of organs, and data management of pancreas transplantation. Thereafter, Professor Duck J. Han hosted the 1st Congress of APITA in 2019 at Seoul. That meeting was attended by a total of 250 participants given with a great success in sharing experience and propagating scientific knowledge.
The 2nd Congress of APITA (Joint Meeting of APITA and JPITA 2021) hosted by Professor Takashi Kenmochi was held in 2021at Nagoya and also ended with a great success with a fully web-based event in view of the COVID-19 pandemic.
In this 3rd Congress of APITA 2023, we will embark on a remarkable journey, fueled by the relentless pursuit of greatness and the unwavering dedication of shaping a better tomorrow. As we come together, let us ignite our minds, celebrate the power of creativity, and embrace the spirit of resilience that propels us forward. May our collective efforts inspire, our groundbreaking ideas spark innovation, and our unyielding commitment drive us to surpass all expectations. Together, let us unlock the boundless potential that lies with us.
